Join the Enter a New Era Initiative
The objective of this group is to stimulate a definition of the future we want. Could we measure progress in wellbeing and happiness?
We are in the Anthropogenic Era, when earth system processes are being altered by us, humans. The aim of our society is eternal economic growth, and we live far beyond the resources the planet can provide. Happiness is often linked to money and consumption.
This group studies alternative ways and initiatives of defining happiness and progress, Bhutan and a think tank set up in East Asia being one of them. We will look at examples from different regions and reflect on our own life. Which are the real values in my life? How is my dream future? We will share findings on the Outreach page in the website and on social media.
Interesting resource persons will be invited to some of the meetings. All contacts are over internet.
The group will be assigned a focal point from ‘it is about us’ and a journalist, when possible.
